So the cats have been ..

.. exceptionally loving, adorable and willing to cuddle for the last couple of days. I would like to think that it is because they realize that with Rachel gone for a few days, I am now their lord and master, and their only means of sustenance. Unfortunately, I get a feeling that the recent drop in temperatures has more to do with this sudden outpour of affection.
